MyMobileGateway - Access your PC with your mobile WAP phone or PDA...

ccLinux - Mobile Linux provided by CheckCom

ccLinux is a small system based on Linux, a free U*IX clone. It is
bootable and runable directly from CD-ROM, and therefore it needs no extra installation. ccLinux is easy to handle because it is menu-driven.

Mobile Gateway
The main purpose of ccLinux is to demonstrate WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) to people not being an expert in Linux or in the details of implementing a WAP environment adhoc. ccLinux provides an infrastructure for GSM-dialin, a WAP-gateway (ccWAP-Gateway) and a dialout module.

WAP Browser

As a bonus, ccLinux also includes a WAP-browser (ccWAP-Browser) translating WAP content into HTML pages for web browsers.

In the main menu you will be presented with the following options, which should be successively visited. Within each submenu there is also help available which explains the corresponding menu in more detail:

Virtual consoles

ccLinux has multiple virtual consoles. You can switch between them at any time using the function keys Alt+Fx where x is one of the numbers 1 to 10.

On console 1 runs the menu program,

consoles 2 to 6 allows you to log into the system (e.g. with userid "root" and password "checkcom"), console 9 displays messages from the init process and finally,

console 10 displays all system messages.
