MyMobileGateway - Access your PC with your mobile WAP phone or PDA...

Start / Stop Services

Within this menu you can start or stop services. The first column is a short name, the second column specifies the operation to be performed and column three gives you a longer description of the service.

Start
Operation "Start" means that the service in question is currently not running and can be activated by selecting it.

Stop

Operation "Stop" will stop the corresponding running service. Available services are:

ccWAP Gateway
The ccWAP-Gateway/Server will enable mobil phones to access WAP content located either on the internet, the local computer or
directly hosted on the gateway.

The gateway is configured to host
a little local homepage, accessible with the URL

and to forward all other requests.

ccWAP Browser
The ccWAP-Browser is a web server emulating WAP-enabled mobil
devices. It translates WAP content into HTML pages and serves
them to web browsers.

In order to use the ccWAP-Browser you will need to have a network connection to the ccLinux computer.

The ccWAP-Browser is configured to connect to the ccWAP-Gateway and
it listens at port "8002", so you can reach it with

where <ccLinux-IP> represents the
IP-address of ccLinux as seen on the other side of the network
connection.

WAP Dialin Service
This service will start several processes listening for incoming
data phone calls.

The maximum number of calls which can be handled simultaneously is limited by the number of ISDN B-channels youhave available.

This service will allow WAP-enabled mobil phones to dial up the ccLinux computer and establish connections to the ccWAP-Gateway which in turn fetches requested WAP content from
other servers. For setting up the mobil phone see below:

Dialout Service
Running this service will allow you to make internet connections
through an Internet Service Provider. If configured in automatic dialing mode, dial-ups are made on demand. Stopping this service will also terminate all current internet connections immediately.
